I print on 8-in., 11-in., 13-in., 16-in. and 24-in. resin coated, archival papers. Except for 8-in images, print sizes can be expected to typically fall in the 2:3 aspect ration of 35mm film imaging, as follows: An 11-in. print will be 11 x 15-17 inches; a 13-in. print will be 13 x 17-19 inches; a 16-in. print will be 16 x 22-24 inches; a 24-in. print will be 24 x 32-36 inches.
Typically, my prints are exhibited either double- or triple-matted, either unframed or framed with contemporary Nielsen commercial metal framing, and are available for sale in those formats. (Please see Artist Bio / Technique, below.) Finished / matted sizes are: 8-in. = 8.5 x 11; 11-in. = 16 x 20-24; 13-in. = 18 x 22-25; 16-in. = 22 x 30-32; 24-in. = 32-40-44. Please contact me for pricing.

Rental Program |
|
Bring the beauty of Nature into your office in an affordable and painless way. All 11-inch, 13-inch, 16-inch and 24-inch framed pictures showcased on my website are available to local businesses as part of my "rent-to-own" program. Here's how it works.
Simply add 6% Michigan sales tax to the cost of the framed picture(s), and then divide that amount by 12. This is the monthly rental payment. No interest and no surcharges. You pay the first three months' rent when you take the pictures with you. Your next payment is due at the beginning of Month No. 4. After 12 months of rental payments, the pictures are yours.
But here's the neat part. After each three-month period, you may trade the pictures for others of your choice from my website, and a total of three months' rent will carry over. Of course, differently priced pictures will require some rental price adjustment.
This is a painless way to affordably furnish your office with high-impact, high quality, award-winning and acclaimed photographic art, and still be able to change pictures around until you find the ones that capture your heart. Or, you can change pictures every three months without ever buying, and enjoy the broad range of images that are offered on my website. Of course, you will be responsible for any damage on returned or exchanged pictures.
With the wide variety of images in my five web galleries, every Nature lover is certain to find something that speaks to his or her inner spirit. And new images are added regularly. Visit my booth at local art fairs, or contact me to set up an appointment at my gallery to examine the pictures that pique your imagination.

Background:
Heeding the advice of artist friends, I entered the world of competitive art shows in 2002. Since then, despite often being told that "photography isn't real art," I have earned over two dozen significant awards in juried all-media art competitions (including some best-in-shows and two "Artist of the Year" honors), presented a number of solo and featured-artist exhibits, and regularly participate in select juried and judged art fairs. My work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout North America, as well as in Europe and Asia. Having launched my self-directed photographic studies in the early 1970's, I am continuing my education.
Style:
Somewhat eclectic. Almost always an emphasis on nature studies, mostly in color.
Technique:
I work only with manually controlled cameras. Often referred to as an old-fashioned purist, most of my creative and compositional work is done in-camera, rather than in the darkroom or computer like so many others today. I actually shoot very few pictures of any given subject, usually examining many different perspectives for the "best" composition, and waiting for the "right" light. Images are individually hand-printed, dry-mounted, double- or triple-matted and signed in limited editions. I self-perform the photographic process from image capture to image presentation, allowing me to maintain a fond closeness to my work. And I'm pleased that my photographs are widely recognized for their rich and natural color quality, superlative sharpness, and luminosity. Moreover, my prints are fully archival, to ensure they last decades without noticeable fading or degradation.
