Dan Stuart Photography

Photography may be either a reflection of the reality that can be seen or an expression of the reality that is perceived by the mind’s eye. My photos are almost always a celebration of Nature and may be either mirror or metaphor. My work speaks for the charm of the commonplace, and asks viewers to open their eyes and minds to the beauty that is everywhere around us. One need not search in exotic places to find Nature's grandeur.

My approach is simple, I believe that 90% of the photographic experience is seeing; the mechanical act of capturing the image, though vitally important, is the lesser part of the process. Fancy, high-tech cameras don't "take good pictures," and excellent art is seldom a picture that "turned out good."
